Babywearing

Meetings are open to anyone who wants to meet fellow babywearers and learn about choosing and safely using all the different kinds of baby carriers. Meetings are held every 1st Friday and 3rd Saturday. Follow them on Facebook to learn more.

Project: Carry On

A group of volunteers who strive to educate our community on the benefits of wearing your baby and to ensure that any caregiver who wants to make babywearing part of their lifestyle can do so in a safe and effective way. Call them to arrange an appointment to discuss your babywearing needs. There are often donated carriers to offer to those needing them. 850-665-0727

Capital Regional Medical Center/ Tallahassee Lactation Care Support Group

Come meet and share with other breastfeeding mothers the trials and tribulations of being a new mother. Mondays noon-1pm at 2626 Care Drive, Suite 109 (behind CRMC) Led by Sarah Ward, IBCLC. Free.

Breastfeeding Tallahassee

An online group for mother-to-mother support. Connect with other breastfeeding moms and get personalized advice and camaraderie.

Tallahassee Memorial Hospital’s Breastfeeding Support Group

New mothers can bring their babies to a nurturing environment where they can receive information, support, and encouragement during their transition as new parents. A lactation consultant is on site as a resource to parents and a baby weigh scale is available for wight checks. Groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m.-noon at A Woman’s Place, 1301 E. La Leche League of the Big Bend

These meetings are available to everyone, with WIC clients getting first priority. Every Tuesday 10-11 a.m. at the Roberts and Stevens Clinic, 1515 Old Bainbridge Road. Every Wednesday 1-2 p.m. at the Community Health Clinic, 872 W. Orange Ave.
